Trade Compliance Manager

pJoin ABB E-mobility and help power the shift to a more sustainable, electric future. /p pWe are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager for Europe to ensure our import, export, customs, sanctions and export-control activities are compliant, efficient and business-enabling. /p pYou will be the key point of contact for trade compliance across Europe, supporting Italy as the primary location and providing coverage for other EU and non-EU countries, including the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK and Norway. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead trade compliance for Europe, acting as the main interface with local management, authorities and global trade teams /li liEnsure compliance with customs, sanctions, export control, classification, valuation and country-of-origin requirements /li liManage export license processes and SAP GTS block releases, ensuring proper governance and segregation of duties /li liPartner with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, IS and local business teams to embed compliance into daily operations /li liEnsure proper governance for product classification (conducted by dedicated PCE), trade master data, supplier qualifications, use of SAP GTS and related trade systems /li liMonitor trade compliance risks, run internal reviews and drive corrective actionsManage trade records, authorisations, permits and audit readiness /li liBuild trade compliance awareness through training, guidance and regular communication /li liDrive the development of the local Trade Compliance network, including Local Business Line TCOs /li /ul h3Your Background /h3 ul liDegree in Business, Logistics, Foreign Trade or a related field /li li5+ years of customs and trade compliance experience in a multinational environment, ideally in an industrial one /li liStrong knowledge of export control, customs regulations and end-to-end supply chain processes /li liHands-on experience with trade compliance systems, preferably SAP GTS /li liSeniority and confidence to advise management and engage with authorities /li liStrong ownership, business mindset and ability to operate in a matrix organisation /li liClear communication skills in English and the relevant local language /li liAbility to train, influence and guide business teams on trade compliance topics /li liKnowledge of power electronics, software or related technologies /li liExperience supporting fast-growing or transforming organisations /li /ul pIf you combine trade compliance expertise with a practical, business-oriented mindset, we’d like to hear from you. /p h3What’s in it for you? /h3 pWork with the best specialists in their field, in a diverse environment with unparalleled global reach.
