The role performs survey fieldwork; processes collected data and creates detailed CAD drawings to support engineering and construction projects. This position bridges the gap between field operations and office production, ensuring smooth communication and quality deliverables.brstrongResponsibilitiesbr/strongstrongLeadership and Directionbr/strongulliLead and coordinate daily field survey activities, assigning tasks to crew members and ensuring work is completed safely and accurately. /liliServe as the primary liaison between field crews, project managers, and office staff. /liliMaintain and care for survey instruments, vehicles, and field equipment.br/li /ulstrongAt The Operational And Company Levelbr/strongField Survey OperationsbrulliConduct topographic, boundary, construction staking, and other land surveys using GPS, robotic total stations, and conventional survey equipment. /liliVerify accuracy of collected field data, identifying and resolving discrepancies on site. /liliFollow all safety protocols, maintain daily logs, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company requirements.br/li /ulCAD Drafting and Data ProcessingbrulliImport, process, and adjust field survey data using appropriate software. /liliProduce clear, accurate CAD drawings, base maps, and survey plats in compliance with project specifications and company standards. /liliCross-check and verify survey data with existing records and design requirements.br/li /ulstrongDo the Workbr/strongulliDeliver work within established timelines and quality standards. /liliCollaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers to ensure survey deliverables meet project needs. /liliAssist in mentoring junior staff in both field and CAD processes.br/li /ulstrongSuccess Metrics and Competenciesbr/strongulliAbility to work both independently and within a team environment. /liliHighly motivated and problem-solving attitude. /liliStrong sense of urgency in responding to constituents. /liliEffective verbal and written communication skills. /liliStrong work ethic and commitment to quality. /liliSelf-reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction. /liliEffective working relationship with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients. /liliStrong technical skills in both surveying and CAD drafting. /liliAbility to transition effectively between field and office work. /liliDetail-oriented and organized in handling data and drawings. /liliCommitment to becoming a “citizen” of the broader organization, breaking down barriers and silos.br/li /ulstrongQualificationsbr/strongulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certificate in surveying, drafting, or related field preferred. /lili3+ years of combined field surveying and CAD drafting experience. /liliProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data collection/processing software. /liliValid driver’s license and clean driving record. /liliOSHA 10/30, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred.br/li /ulstrongAbout Bowmanbr/strongAre you ready to build a career that makes a lasting impact?
