pbDavid Kennedy Recruitment /b is working with a company developing AI-powered conversational products, that is seeking to onboard a Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer to join their team remotely. /ppThe role focuses on fine-tuning and improving self-hosted large language models that power personalised AI conversations. You will work hands-on with open-weight models, training datasets, evaluation frameworks and GPU-based training, taking model improvements from experimentation through to production deployment. /ppPosition: Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer /ppLocation: Europe, Remote /ppEmployment type: B2B engagement /ph3DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIES:
/h3ulliTrain and fine-tune existing AI language models to improve their conversational abilities /liliPrepare and improve training datasets to help models produce more accurate, natural and consistent responses /liliDevelop testing methods to measure model quality and identify areas for improvement /liliImprove conversational memory, personality consistency and long-running dialogue /liliDevelop multilingual conversational capabilities and interactions involving multiple characters /liliInvestigate model failures and optimise training data, prompts and response filters /liliRun model training experiments using GPUs and troubleshoot technical issues /liliDeploy improved models into production, monitor their performance and continue refining them /liliCollaborate with AI engineering, product, web development and DevOps teams /li /ulh3REQUIREMENTS: /h3ulliProven hands-on experience fine-tuning open-weight AI language models and deploying them into production /liliStrong Python programming skills /liliPractical experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face or comparable machine-learning tools /liliExperience with model training techniques such as supervised fine-tuning, LoRA and QLoRA /liliFamiliarity with preference-based training techniques such as DPO or GRPO /liliExperience building training datasets and model evaluation frameworks /liliPractical experience with GPU-based training and debugging /liliAbility to analyse model behaviour, troubleshoot issues and demonstrate measurable improvements /liliExperience working with consumer-facing AI products /liliComfort working with uncensored AI models, explicit adult/NSFW content and sensitive moderation material /li /ulh3BENEFITS: /h3ulliFully remote working within Europe /liliLong-term collaboration, with B2B contracting preferred /lili20 working days of paid leave /lili$100 monthly health insurance allowance /liliEquipment budget /liliAccess to AI development tools /liliLearning and development support /liliAnnual team gathering /liliOpportunity to work on self-hosted LLMs powering consumer-facing AI products /liliAnd many more /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
