Overview In this role, you lead the enterprise functional architecture for ABB, aligning business strategy with functional capabilities across domains such as Finance, HR, and Legal & Integrity. You provide architecture guidance at scale, balancing global coherence with local needs while avoiding fragmentation. You will drive architecture-led transformations and establish guardrails, reference architectures, and governance to sustain long-term business and technology outcomes. * Define and maintain the enterprise functional architecture vision and target state
* Translate business strategy into capability-based architectures for functions
* Ensure consistent interpretation of enterprise principles across domains
* Guide evolution of core business systems in line with enterprise strategy
* Maintain architectural coherence across domains, platforms, and geographies
* Resolve conflicts between functional requirements and enterprise constraints
* Balance global vs local process ownership and SaaS vs customization decisions
* Define enterprise-wide functional architecture principles and reference architectures
* Contribute to Architecture Review Boards and approve/reject architectural exceptions
* Guide investments in functional platforms and transformations

* 12–15+ years in enterprise or domain architecture roles
* Experience in large, decentralized or federated enterprises
* Experience leading architecture in major enterprise transformations
* Strong SAP knowledge; ERP

* Expertise in functional capability modeling, business process harmonization, SaaS and packaged applications, cross-domain dependency management, and enterprise-scale governance
* Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
