What you will do

As an On Site Testing Manager CESI S.p.A., your main responsibilities will include:

Project Execution & Site Operations
  • Plan, coordinate and execute OST projects in line with customer requirements, contractual commitments and internal delivery standards.
  • Define execution schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress to ensure timely completion and high equipment utilization.
  • Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with technical procedures, safety standards and customer expectations.
  • Act as the primary operational interface for customers and site teams during project execution.
  • Manage unexpected issues and site constraints, ensuring rapid and effective problem-solving to avoid downtime, cost overruns or service disruption.
  • Ensure proper mobilization and demobilization of test systems, logistics, documentation and site readiness.
Resource & Asset Management
  • Plan and coordinate the deployment of personnel, test systems, vehicles and external service providers, where applicable.
  • Optimize asset utilization, reduce idle time and maximize testing productivity across multiple sites.
  • Ensure field teams are technically prepared, properly equipped and aligned with project-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs and operational availability of testing assets in cooperation with the relevant technical and support functions.
Scheduling, Cost & Performance Control
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, including dependencies, milestones and critical path items.
  • Track time, cost, margin and operational performance for each job, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Support the budgeting process for the OST unit and take responsibility for achieving assigned financial and operational targets.
  • Maintain transparent reporting on workload, resource availability, equipment utilization, project risks and delivery performance.
Client Interface & Commercial Support
  • Liaise directly with customers to confirm execution schedules, coordinate site access, logistics and readiness, and ensure satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Manage claims, variations, deviations and non-conformities in close collaboration with Sales, Quality and the relevant technical functions.
  • Cooperate with Sales during the definition and operational assessment of complex quotations, including feasibility, resource needs, timing and
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and recurrent delays, and implement practical process improvements.
  • Introduce, maintain and continuously improve standardized site procedures, checklists, lessons learned and delivery KPIs.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing setup time, improving test efficiency, strengthening safety performance and enhancing reliability of results.
  • Lead and motivate OST field teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, ownership and result orientation.
  • Ensure personnel are trained, certified and technically competent for their assigned duties.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching and capability development to strengthen operational excellence across locations.
QHSE Responsibility
  • Ensure full compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment requirements for all OST activities.
  • Guarantee that all work is executed in accordance with KEMA Labs standards, customer/site-specific rules and applicable regulations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture, including preparation, toolbox talks, risk assessments, incident prevention and timely escalation of issues.

What you bringQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline; Master's degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of proven experience in on-site operations, commissioning, testing or field service activities in the energy or power sector.
