As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will design and optimize advanced automated systems supporting adherent cell expansion workflows.
You will work at the intersection of biology, hardware, and software, translating complex biological processes into scalable, reliable, and reproducible automation solutions.
This is a high-impact role within a multidisciplinary environment where precision, innovation, and system thinking are essential.
What you’ll do- Design and improve automated systems for cell expansion processes.
- Translate biological protocols into robust automation workflows.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, hardware designers, and biology teams.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support integration of single-use components and modular architectures.
- Contribute to validation, testing, and continuous improvement of automation platforms.
- Strong experience in industrial automation or process automation.
- Proven ability to design and optimize complex systems.
- Experience with control systems, robotics, or motion systems.
- Familiarity with regulated environments (biotech, pharma, medical devices) is a plus.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Systems-thinking mindset and problem-solving attitude.
