Overview

As Medical Neuroscience Head, you will lead the country’s neuroscience medical strategy and drive impactful execution across the product lifecycle. You will shape scientific engagement, evidence generation, medical education, and external partnerships while ensuring compliance and high scientific standards. You’ll partner with Commercial, Regulatory, Access, and other teams to translate science into patient-centered medical initiatives. This role offers strategic influence, cross-functional leadership, and the opportunity to impact patient outcomes at scale. You will represent Novartis as a scientific ambassador and build trusted collaborations in the neuroscience community.

Responsabilità
  • Develop and execute country-specific Neuroscience medical strategy aligned with global/regional objectives
  • Adapt international medical plans to locally relevant strategies for pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle management
  • Define priorities and tactical plans across scientific engagement, medical education, evidence generation, publications, and insights
  • Lead local evidence generation strategies including RWE, HEOR, Phase IIIb/IV studies, and publication planning
  • Provide scientific/clinical expertise to support integrated evidence strategies and local research
  • Act as trusted scientific advisor to internal stakeholders across Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Digital, etc.
  • Ensure medical activities comply with regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards
  • Lead scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, academics, and societies
  • Oversee field medical activities and align with Therapeutic Area objectives
  • Establish processes for gathering and utilizing external insights for decision-making
  • Drive excellence in scientific communication, medical education, and congress activities
  • Support capability building through training and scientific leadership
  • Oversee delivery of local evidence programs addressing patient, system, and scientific needs
  • Guide publication strategies and timely dissemination of data
  • Support medical education programs for healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure scientific integrity across educational and evidence activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key medical experts, organizations, and researchers
  • Contribute to multi-stakeholder initiatives creating value for patients and systems
  • Represent Novartis as a credible scientific ambassador at forums
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Value & Access, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Execution Excellence teams
  • Translate scientific insights into actionable strategies and support launch readiness/lifecycle management
  • Drive external insights integration into cross-functional planning and decisions
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and quality across activities
  • Promote a culture of ethics, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Significant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related pharma/biotech functions
  • Strong neuroscience expertise and understanding of disease landscape
  • Proven track record in developing/executing medical strategies across product lifecycle
  • Experience in scientific engagement with HCPs, experts, and organizations
  • Proven evidence generation, publication planning, and medical education leadership
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
  • Experience in complex matrix organizations at local, regional, or global levels
  • Deep scientific/clinical neuroscience knowledge
  • Strategic thinking translating science into medical initiatives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and scientific storytelling
