We are looking for a Footwear Industrialization specialist with a strong passion for the high-performance athletic footwear industry and a strong focus on product quality and manufacturing feasibility.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in materials, footwear constructions, technologies, and manufacturing processes, and is able to translate product specifications and development requirements into reliable and efficient industrial solutions.

The Footwear Industrializationmission will include:

  • Contributing to the definition and development of footwear products in line with the input provided by the Designer and Project Leader;
  • Developing the inputs received and managing all activities required to create the footwear, working with external suppliers and/or internally, including lasts development, components development and product modifications;
  • Monitoring the progress of the prototyping and sampling process, ensuring that the required aesthetic, functional and quality standards, as well as deadlines, are met. This includes supporting pattern-making activities, carrying out industrial feasibility analyses and performing defect detection with suppliers in Italy and abroad;
  • Following the fitting and product validation phases in accordance with Rossignol’s quality standards and processes;
  • Managing field product validation through test teams, as well as laboratory testing through internal/external laboratories and suppliers, reporting results to the Project Leader;
  • Managing prototypes and samples, including their storage and archiving;
  • Managing the industrialization of validated products, the development of models across the different size ranges and pre-production phases with suppliers in Italy and abroad;
  • Proactively identifying, preventing and resolving any critical issues or problems arising during the definition of the technical and manufacturing process;
  • Contributing to the preparation, sharing and system entry of bills of materials (BOMs) and technical specifications.

Your skills to succeed:

  • At least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role;
  • Training in footwear pattern making;
  • Strong listening, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Availability to travel both within Italy and internationally;
  • Good knowledge of CAD software and/or Adobe Illustrator;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
