The successful candidate will conduct research on chemical engineering principles, with a primary focus on mass transport phenomena in solid, polymeric, and composite materials. The objective will be to evaluate their suitability for a wide range of process engineering applications, including membrane-based separations, bioseparation processes, and barrier technologies.
Research activities will involve sample preparation, morphological and structural characterization, physicochemical and functional analysis, and the experimental determination of transport properties and model parameters required for the quantitative description of the mechanisms governing material and process performance.
