In this role you will own critical backend systems and shape scalable architectures. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust services and drive improvements in performance and reliability. You’ll design microservices and cloud-ready solutions while mentoring engineers and integrating with payments and third-party APIs. The position sits at the heart of a fast-moving R&D-driven company investing in AI, shaping cutting-edge software for diverse customers. - Own backend systems (Java Spring or C# .NET) ensuring high quality, performance and reliability.
- Design and implement microservices architectures with Azure deployments, balancing scalability and cost.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical design discussions and code reviews to raise code quality and architecture standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to support technical and professional growth.
- Integrate with payment systems and third-party APIs with a focus on security and scalability.
- Explore emerging technologies and assess their impact on the platform.
- 6+ years of backend development experience with a track record of delivering high-quality software systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or C# (.NET Core / .NET 6+) with solid design pattern knowledge
- Experience designing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems; strong DB design and query optimization
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews
- Ability to work independently on complex problems and contribute to technical decisions
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and AI-assisted development practices
- Advanced English (C1)
- Hands-on Azure and cloud-native development experience; experience with Kafka or Service Bus; payments/fintech background; leadership in technical teams; familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
