Overview

In this Mechanical Engineer role, you will drive component and sub-assembly design through the New Product Development process, from specification to Start of Production. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasible, robust designs and right-first-time outcomes. The position focuses on CAD design, design reviews, and DFMEA to balance performance, obsolescence, and cost. You will contribute to a global, fast-paced environment shaping new products that reach millions of users.

Responsabilità
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess specifications
  • Prepare feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D
  • Identify risks impacting development timelines
  • Create and maintain component and sub-assembly specifications
  • Execute CAD design for parts and layouts (3D/2D)
  • Support R&D in prototype testing
  • Lead DFMEA documentation and technical BOM preparation
  • Collaborate with local R&D and Purchasing on costs/investments
  • Work with moulding departments to analyze processes
  • Support Engineering Build and Pre-production phases
  • Organize and participate in technical design reviews
  • Prepare technical documentation for project status and next steps in reviews and NPD meetings
Requisiti fondamentali
  • BEng / BSc qualification
  • Experience in designing mechanical components and systems
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX (3D/2D)
  • Knowledge of mass production product development
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and evaluating test results
