R&D Bushings Engineer

Help shape the future of GE Vernova's high-voltage bushings.

As part of our international R&D team, you'll contribute to the design and development of innovative products while helping drive continuous improvement across our existing portfolio. You'll apply your expertise to electrical analysis, product optimization, quality enhancement, and manufacturing excellence, playing a key role in delivering reliable high-voltage technologies that support power transmission networks around the world.

Activities mainly contribute to the high voltage bushings design and product development. The role includes also tasks linked to technical continuous improvement of existing products with focus on material cost‑out, design for manufacturing and standardization. Mandatory support for root cause analysis to improve product quality. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work if the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

• Supports the R&D Manager in the preparation and development of the R&D plan.
• Performs electric and magnetic field advanced analysis
• Performs basics thermal analysis
• Participates in the development of new product and technology introduction and projects gate reviews
• Contributes to development of technical standards for engineering and manufacturing procedures for production.
• Participates in the International R&D Team on specific projects and to International standard committees.
• Supports the project of cost and Quality root cause analysis.
• Uses some judgement and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions

• Education / Experience - Engineer University Degree – Electrical Engineering - Experience in the field of electrical engineering and in R&D project management (not mandatory)
• Specific knowledge of finite elements methods and electrical design
• Business understanding - Basic knowledge of the company business, its products & organization.
• Fluent English

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

Fascia retributive: Tra € 42300 e € 63500 lordi annui. La retribuzione specifica offerta terrà conto dell'istruzione, delle qualifiche, dell'esperienza e delle competenze del candidato.

The pay range for this position: Between € 42300 and € 63500 gross per annum. The specific pay offered will consider the candidate’s education, qualifications, experience and skill set.
