Job SummaryThis position has a special focus supporting the organization's clinical decision support (CDS) and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The role involves configuring and optimizing CDS interventions, predictive models, and AI tools within clinical workflows. The analyst manages the underlying data to track system adoption and alert metrics, utilizing analytics to evaluate how these technologies improve patient care and operational outcomes.
Participates in the analysis, design, testing, documentation, implementation, support and auditing of comprehensive Hospital Information Systems and electronic health records (EHR). Assists in evaluation, analysis, maintenance and development of system functionality to meet clinical objectives including participating in project plan development/tracking and workflow analysis. Coordinates resolution of system process or performance issues interacting with functional users, internal and external technology resources. Serves as a liaison between the clinical users and the application team as well as assisting with education and training deployment.
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
Data Retrieval & Analytics: Proficiency with SQL for data extraction, querying, and report validation
Statistical Computing: Experience using Python, R, or similar statistical software to evaluate predictive models.
Data Visualization: Experience creating dashboards and visual metrics (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track system adoption and clinical outcomes.
AI & Machine Learning Awareness: Foundational understanding of machine learning principles, large language models (LLMs), or the implementation and validation of AI utilities within a healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 7 Years Directly Related Experience (IS or Clinical)
Substitutable Education & Experience: High School Diploma & 7 Years of Experience can be substituted for one of the following: Bachelor's Degree & 5 years Related Experience; Masters' Degree in a Related Field (IS, Clinical, Business or Healthcare Administration) & 3 Years Related Experience
Required Certifications/Licensure: Current Epic Certification or must obtain Epic Certification within 6 months of entry into role
Required Training: Experience in IT as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization required; Previous project management experience; Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills; Proficient in computers, use of clinical information systems, and Microsoft Office solutions; Strong experience in use of clinical information systems that affect patient care; Strong interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism; Presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
