Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline. Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify cause. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach.

This job is the fully qualified, experienced professional, journey-level position.

• Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission- critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause.

• Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities.

• Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of IBX infrastructures according to Equinix global standards.

• Ensures all repairs performed on all IBX infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices

• Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components.
• Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues.
• Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.

• Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes.
• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion.
• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters.

• Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent command of Italian and English.

Il / La Maintenance Engineer supporterà il team nella gestione e nella supervisione infrastruttura elettrica e meccanica della facility

• Coordina e segue la manutenzione preventiva e correttiva su componenti e/o sistemi critici
• Coordina e segue le riparazioni, manutenzioni, installazioni e ispezioni in loco su sistemi critici
• Monitora i parametri del sito attraverso l’utilizzo del BMS e si occupa della verifica allarmi e risoluzione dei problemi associati
• Mantiene in efficienza degli impianti idraulici, antincendio e di sicurezza ed implementazione di misure di efficienza energetica
