URGENT HIRING NEED - INTERVIEWING NOWWe are seeking a Palletizer Operator for a long-term Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility in the Greater St. Louis area. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting warehouse and production operations.
This is a career-track opportunity with advancement potential and a pathway to permanent employment.
Pay & Advancement- Starting Rate: $22.00/hour
- After Qualification/Card Certification: $23.00/hour
- Permanent Employment Rate: Approximately $25.63/hour
- Eligible for permanent employment after approximately 600+ successful hours
- Additional advancement opportunities available for top performers
- Operate palletizing and packaging equipment
- Monitor automated palletizers and stretch wrappers
- Clear equipment jams and perform equipment resets as needed
- Replace and thread stretch-wrap rolls
- Perform pre-operational equipment inspections
- Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
- Monitor finished products prior to shipment
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
- Utilize computerized inventory and material tracking systems
- Support housekeeping and sanitation activities
- Assist with production changeovers and continuous improvement efforts
- Relieve team members for breaks and lunches as needed
- Train and assist new employees when required
- Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
- May be required to obtain forklift certification
- Operate forklift equipment as needed
- Deliver raw materials to production areas
- Transport packaging materials throughout the facility
- Assist with waste handling and recycling efforts
- Operate baling equipment
- Perform general housekeeping and porter responsibilities
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Computer skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete documentation accurately
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift 20-25 pounds regularly
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
- 6:0 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Additional $0.75/hour shift premium
- 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
- Additional $1.00/hour shift premium
- Eight-hour shifts with overtime as needed
- Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs
- Shift flexibility required
- Overtime may occur before or after scheduled shifts
- Saturday work may be required
- Production demands may require schedule adjustments with limited notice
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Fast-paced operation
- Non-air-conditioned production areas
- Frequent walking, standing, lifting, and equipment operation
- Safety-focused workplace with high quality expectations
