Offer DescriptionThis project aims to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the nephroprotective effects of SGLT2 inhibition, with a focus on the role of the SIRT1/HIF-1α/HIF-2α signaling axis in diabetic nephropathy. The study will explore how empagliflozin (EMPA) modulates the balance between HIF-1α and HIF-2α through SIRT1 activation and how these pathways influence cellular adaptation to metabolic and hypoxic stress.
