We are looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between embedded hardware and advanced robotic systems, designing and developing the firmware and libraries that allow our microcontrollers to drive the next generation of open-source robotics. Whether optimizing Zephyr RTOS for real-time control or integrating micro-ROS, you will be a key asset in maintaining our high standards for developers and creators worldwide.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.What you'll work on● Integrate Arduino microcontrollers and embedded platforms with industry-standard robotics ecosystems (e.g., ROS, ROS 2, micro-ROS).● Prototype robotic product solutions from research through to production, ensuring hardware and software harmonize perfectly.● Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded firmware (C/C++) with a focus on robotics applications, including motor control, actuator management, and sensor data acquisition.● Work effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware, application software, Quality Assurance, and product management to define requirements, integrate components, and deliver high-quality products.● Represent Arduino at internal / external events and share our spirit with the developers communityWhat you bring● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.● Hands-on experience developing nodes and architectures using ROS 2 and micro-ROS.● Familiarity with robotic middleware communication patterns (Pub/Sub, Services, Actions, DDS).● Deep understanding of motor control techniques and hardware, specifically for BLDC (Brushless DC) motors, stepper motors, and servos.● Familiarity with core autonomous navigation concepts, such as SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).● Experience integrating and processing data from environmental sensors like LiDAR, Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors, cameras and MEMS.● Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems● Extensive experience with hardware interfaces and protocols crucial to robotics (e.g., CAN bus, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, GPIO).● Fluent in English both verbal and written is mandatoryBonus Points● Knowledge of the Arduino and Zephyr ecosystem● Knowledge of IoT Protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP).● Experience with hardware debugging and tools like JTAG/SWD.● Experience with Python and Golang and/o
