We are looking for a Logistics Engineering Senior Specialist to join our Operations organization and lead the design, optimization, and transformation of logistics processes within our manufacturing plant. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in improving material flow efficiency, warehouse operations, inventory performance, and production logistics. You will work at the intersection of Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, and Continuous Improvement, contributing directly to operational excellence and business performance.
Your MissionAs Logistics Engineering Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal and external logistics processes, ensuring efficient material flow from raw material receipt through warehouse operations and production supply. You will support logistics transformation through Lean Logistics principles, process digitalization, and automation initiatives, helping the organization achieve higher levels of productivity, service, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Logistics Process Design & Optimization
- Design and optimize physical and information flows across the plant.
- Analyze logistics routes, material movements, and handling activities to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop efficient replenishment solutions supporting production line requirements.
- Drive initiatives aimed at eliminating non-value-added logistics activities.
- Warehouse Engineering
- Design and continuously improve warehouse layouts and material storage strategies.
- Optimize receiving, storage, picking, and internal transportation processes.
- Improve warehouse utilization, space management, and inventory performance.
- Support inventory sizing and stock optimization initiatives.
- Design and implement Pull Systems and Kanban methodologies.
- Ensure efficient material supply to production lines.
- Collaborate closely with Planning and Production teams to guarantee operational continuity and service levels.
- Lead Lean Logistics and operational excellence projects.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce logistics costs and operational inefficiencies.
- Support digitalization and logistics innovation initiatives across the plant.
- Promote best practices in warehouse management and internal logistics.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- At least 5/10 years of experience in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Warehouse Engineering, or Manufacturing Logistics.
- Experience within complex manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven track record in process improvement and logistics optimization projects.
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Production Scheduling processes.
- Lean Logistics methodologies.
- Material Flow Analysis.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Layout Design and Simulation Tools.
- Inventory and KPI management.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving mindset.
