Enterprise Project Management (EPM) acts as AllianzGI’s in-house consulting unit, covering global and functional projects across the asset management value chain. Operating within a fast-paced, agile environment, the global team plays a critical role in driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and contributing to the firm’s overall success.

EPM combines strong project management expertise with deep market and product knowledge, supported by a broad stakeholder network and functional capabilities across key areas such as Investments and Operations. This unique setup positions the team as a trusted and value-adding partner for complex transformation and change initiatives across AllianzGI.

The Enterprise Project Manager will be responsible for analysing, designing and implementing operating model changes across AllianzGI’s fund management and investment operations landscape. The role supports strategic transformation initiatives, fund launches, target operating model (TOM) development, service provider onboarding and data integration projects across internal functions and external partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Technology, Investment Teams, Product, Fund Registration, Risk, Compliance and third-party providers to define business requirements, optimise processes and deliver scalable operating solutions that support AllianzGI’s evolving product platform and regulatory environment.

What you will do
  • Gather, document and validate business requirements for strategic initiatives and operational change programmes.
  • Design and maintain Target Operating Models (TOMs) across fund operations, investment operations and outsourced service provider environments.
  • Support the onboarding of new products, including UCITS, AIFs, ETFs and other investment vehicles.
  • Define business requirements for data feeds, interfaces and workflow enhancements.
  • Work with technology teams and vendors to implement data integrations across investment management and operational platforms.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams and external service providers.
  • Maintain project documentation, process inventories and implementation records.
  • Support audit, compliance and regulatory review activities.
  • Ensure operational procedures and controls are appropriately documented and maintained.
  • Support local Italian BAU investment and operational processes.
  • Ensure a stable local Italian application environment, coordinating with Allianz Technology SpA, Allianz Technology SE, and AllianzGI technical and business teams to resolve issues and implement required changes.
What you bring
  • Excellent university degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, Engineering or related field of study
  • Ideally at least 5 years’ experience in consulting or working in relevant departments of an Investment Management company
  • Solid understanding of the Investment Management business and value chain of front-, middle and back-office functions
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory framework for investment managers, insurance investors and funds domiciled in Europe
  • Ability to build, influence and, negotiate relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Hands-on, social, diplomatic team player with leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and speaking.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, additional language skills are a plus
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Experience in using Bloomberg order management system.
  • Experience in a programming language, e.g. Python or SQL would be useful.
  • Experience with Microsoft CoPilot and Prompt Engineering.
