Offer Description

Research activities within the ECHO-TWIN project will focus on the analysis of multi-sensor and multi-temporal satellite data to monitor and forecast various types of environmental risks, such as landslides, floods, volcanic eruptions, and other extreme natural events. AI or edge AI models—incorporating physics-informed machine learning approaches—will be developed to integrate satellite observations, auxiliary data, and physical knowledge of environmental processes, aiming to enable efficient, low-latency distributed processing. The results will contribute to the creation of intelligent components for the ECHO-TWIN digital twin, supporting near-real-time monitoring, forecasting, early warning systems, and environmental risk management.
