Embedded Software Engineer/Software Development

Overview In this role you contribute to the on-board software (OBSW) for spacecraft, supporting RB/TS baselines, designing OBSW, and validating performance with test equipment and models. You will interface with customers and suppliers and collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure robust, real-time OBSW solutions. The work centers on multi-core/hypervisor environments and ESP standards to ensure mission success. This is a hands-on role at the core of space systems software with a strong impact on spacecraft reliability and operations. Retribuzione / Benefits Permanent contract Performance bonus (PDR) up to 4,025 Mobility policy for career development global company presence Responsabilità Support the OBSW Requirements Baseline (RB) production Produce the OBSW Technical Specification (TS) Design the OBSW Perform unit and integration tests of the OBSW Conduct validation tests against TS with appropriate test equipment and models Support validation against RB Interface with customers and suppliers Collaborate with project managers, industrial engineering, manufacturing and sales Requisiti fondamentali Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent Knowledge of ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C standards from ESA Knowledge of multi-core processors and hypervisors (PikeOS, XtratuM) Experience in hard real-time software design, development and debugging Experience in C and/or Ada 95 Experience in software requirements management Knowledge of UML for software design, preferably Rhapsody for C/Ada Knowledge of software quality metrics tools (Logiscope, Understand) for C/Ada Organized, methodical, strong communication Ability to work autonomously and in a team Strong problem solving and time/cost efficiency mindset Good written and spoken English strong communication teamwork autonomy ECSS-E-ST-40C ECSS-Q-ST-80C multi-core processors
