Ephos is building vertically integrated, advanced packaging solutions on glass panels. We transform raw glass into electronic and optically active substrates for die-to-die connectivity, manufactured entirely within our own facilities. Our systems are built for companies developing AI accelerators, including hyperscalers and top-tier chip designers. We have already delivered products to leading global firms, and we are currently building a new fabrication facility to scale production by 100x. As our production fab ramps up, we're standing up a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to track production from raw glass to finished photonic integrated circuit, and building the pipelines that turn raw fab data into datasets our data science team can build models on. You'll own that data infrastructure end to end and build the foundation of our knowledge base. Your responsibilities Build and maintain the pipelines moving data from production lines into the new MES and help set up the MES structure to match our process. Build the downstream pipelines that turn MES data into datasets for data science models and analyses (models, dashboards, monthly metrics). Set up data versioning and lineage tracking, so we always know which data version produced which model. Design the labeling and annotation workflow for defect images and characterization data. Build a knowledge base for LLM querying, based on company documents, chats, code repositories, logs, MES data and vectorized in a central database/index (queryable by API and MCP protocols) Skills & experience Bachelor's degree (or further) in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience building production data pipelines from raw or sensor sources into structured systems, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, or lab environment. Strong SQL and Python; experience with pipeline orchestration and schema design. Practical experience with data quality frameworks and validation at ingestion. Experience with data versioning or lineage tooling is a plus. Can commit to full time lab presence; due to the nature of the role we will not consider remote applicants. This environment offers unmatched opportunities to learn, build, and grow, but it also requires significant commitment.
