RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITION AT SR-TIGET IMMUNE CORE at Ospedale San Raffaele

IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Research Assistant to join the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget) Immune Core. We are looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant with a strong background in immunological assays, and expertise in experimental animal models to work as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic research team investigating multiple immunological aspects associated to in vivo and ex vivo gene and cell therapies for inherited genetic diseases. Assays to investigate antigen (Ag)-specific cellular responses (primary cells from several disease models) Establishment of Ag-specific T cell lines LV mediated modification of DC, B and T cells for in vitro and in vivo experiments Basic Molecular biology and biochemistry (PCR, cloning, western blots, enzymatic activity test) Flow cytometry (sample preparation/acquisition/analysis, FACS sorting) Development and optimization of new assays Training of new lab members Biomedical degree or PhD with strong lab experience Experience in T cell functional immune assays Experience in B cell functional immune assays will be a plus in the selection Experience in animal handling High motivation to work in an international, fast-paced environment Good oral and written English skills One-year fixed-term contract (assunzione a tempo determinato), renewable Competitive salary, based on qualification and experience A dynamic lab environment and the chance to make important contribution to biomedical research We are committed to ensure that equal employment opportunities are provided and based on merit without regard to age, religion, sex, disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, cultural and social backgrounds, gender identity or expression, national or ethnic origin, or any other legally recognized status entitled to protection under applicable laws.
