Job Purpose The Industrial Controller will be based at the Industrial Operations site in Novara and will work closely with the Industrial Management team on the preparation of the Industrial Division budget, to be shared with the Finance function, as well as on product cost analysis and cost tracking for both Product Development and Logistics activities. The role will also work closely with the Finance team on monthly closing activities, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analyses. The position will interact with several internal stakeholders across the company on industrial cost control activities. The main objective is to combine a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the different industrial processes, both product- and logistics-related, with a solid knowledge of industrial accounting and management control principles. Responsibilities
- Manage Budget, Forecast and monthly closing activities for the entire Industrial Management scope, with specific responsibility for the following areas: Logistics (HQ and regional branches), Product Development, Industrial Division, Design & Haute Couture
- Calculate and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), determine industrial overheads, value inventory movements and work closely with the Accounts Payable and Inventory Controlling teams
- Analyze Actual Product Costs vs. Standard Costs
- Track and monitor Product Development costs, with a specific focus on Prototype and Sample launches
- Prepare periodic reporting and calculate KPIs for the Industrial area
- Develop ad hoc analyses to understand industrial cost trends and support Management in decision-making
- Monitor and track costs related to production orders, such as Marketing Orders and Uniforms
- Optimize the SAP cost control system by monitoring WIP, identifying and correcting input anomalies (Raw Materials / Finished Products / Processing), and developing customized data extraction layouts
