This role represents a key commercial position supporting the company's ambition to become a trusted technology and solutions partner within the Data Centre ecosystem.
The OpportunityThe Key Account & Solutions Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships and creating integrated solution opportunities within the European Data Centre market.
The role focuses on managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities with long development cycles, working closely with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, EPC contractors and technology partners to position the organisation as a preferred partner for critical power solutions.
Rather than focusing on individual product sales, the successful candidate will help shape complete power solution strategies by collaborating with customers and the wider infrastructure ecosystem.
This position requires the ability to navigate complex buying organisations, influence decision-makers at an early stage of project development and coordinate multiple stakeholders to create long-term customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account ManagementDevelop trusted executive relationships with key strategic accounts across the European Data Centre market.
Manage complex customer engagements involving hyperscale operators, colocation providers, developers and infrastructure investors.
Build long-term account strategies aligned with customer expansion plans and sustainability objectives.
Solution DevelopmentCollaborate with customers and internal technical teams to develop integrated power solutions addressing mission-critical requirements.
Position the company's technologies within wider infrastructure solutions, including backup generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), switchgear and grid integration.
Support customers throughout long and consultative sales cycles.
Ecosystem DevelopmentBuild and strengthen relationships with key industry partners, including:EPC contractors.
Generator packagers.
Switchgear manufacturers.
Battery system providers.
Grid and utility technology companies.
Digital platform providers.
Engineering consultants.
Develop partnership models that enhance competitiveness within complex Data Centre projects.
Opportunity LeadershipIdentify opportunities during the early planning phases of new Data Centre developments.
Coordinate commercial and technical stakeholders throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
Lead strategic account planning, opportunity qualification and pipeline development.
Support commercial negotiations through to project award.
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Global Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Application Engineering and Aftermarket teams.
Provide customer insights to support future product and solution development.
Ensure alignment between customer requirements and global commercial strategies.
Market RepresentationRepresent the organisation at key industry conferences and executive customer meetings.
Strengthen visibility and positioning within the European Data Centre ecosystem.
Maintain strong market knowledge regarding technology trends, customer investment plans and competitive developments.
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking an experienced strategic sales leader with strong knowledge of the mission-critical infrastructure sector and an established network within the European Data Centre industry.
The ideal candidate understands that success in this market depends on influencing ecosystems, building partnerships and creating value across complex stakeholder environments.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.10–15 years of experience managing complex solution sales within international B2B environments.
Significant experience in one or more of the following sectors:Data Centres.
Critical Power.
Power Generation.
Energy Infrastructure.
Grid Technologies.
Industrial Electrification.
Proven track record managing strategic accounts with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior technical decision-makers.
Strong understanding of project delivery models involving EPC contractors, consultants and technology partners.
Preferred ExperienceExperience working with or managing relationships involving:Hyperscale Data Centre operators.
