We are looking for a Service Signalling Maintenance Engineering Engineer for our site in Bologna. If you are passionate about railway signalling systems and want to contribute to the long-term maintainability and supportability of critical railway technologies, this is your opportunity.
You will join our Services Engineering team and contribute to the preparation, improvement and lifecycle management of signalling solutions deployed worldwide.
What You Will Do:As a Service Engineer, you will support the team in differen key areas:Integrated Service Readiness (ISR)Define and improve maintenance documentation and procedures.
Prepare maintenance manuals, service documentation and training material.
Support the definition of spare parts strategies and maintenance concepts.
Contribute to customer and internal training readiness activities.
Ensure maintainability requirements are adequately captured during project execution.
Perform maintanability demonstration in Alstom Lab and on fieldProduct Lifecycle & Obsolescence ManagementSupport lifecycle management activities for signalling products and subsystems.
Analyze component obsolescence and identify replacement strategies.
Collaborate with Design Engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions and product evolution plans.
Assess impacts of hardware and software changes on maintenance activities. Technical Support & Service EngineeringSupport international technical assistance teams on signalling maintenance topics.
Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives.
Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and field feedback processes.
Support RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) data collection and analysis.
Tender & Service Development ActivitiesSupport preparation of service and maintenance offers.
Analyze customer technical requirements.
Contribute to maintenance concepts, service strategies and cost estimations.
Support development of innovative service solutions.
Additional Opportunities:Participate in tenders by analyzing technical requirements and preparing documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve diagnostic tools and maintainability requirements.

What we are looking forDegree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation, Transportation or similar).
Strong interest in railway signalling systems.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
Good communication skills in English.
Nice-to-have SkillsKnowledge of railway signalling technologies.
Experience in maintenance engineering activities.
Familiarity with RAM and LCC concepts.
Knowledge of lifecycle and obsolescence management processes.
Previous experience in technical support or service engineering.
