The Role We are looking for a full-time

Field Service Engineer

to join our operational team in Genoa. The position includes hybrid office/field work and frequent travel in Italy and abroad, including assignments aboard cargo and passenger vessels. The successful candidate will provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and technical support for marine environmental systems, including: Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (Scrubbers) Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) Gas analysers, water-analysis equipment, and related instrumentation Key responsibilities include diagnosing electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, and fluid-system issues; performing calibrations and compliance checks; supporting vessel crews and customers; preparing accurate service reports; and collaborating with customer-service and project teams on retrofit and improvement projects.

Qualifications The ideal candidate has experience in field service, commissioning, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance of industrial or marine equipment. Requirements include: Technical diploma or degree in electrical, electronic, mechatronic, automation, mechanical, or naval engineering. Good knowledge of electrical systems, automation, instrumentation, measurement equipment, electrical drawings, and P&IDs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently in the field. Previous experience in the marine sector is preferred; relevant industrial-plant experience will also be considered. Experience with Scrubbers, SCR, BWTS, gas analysers, or environmental monitoring systems is an advantage. Good written and spoken technical English. Strong customer-service attitude and ability to communicate effectively with international customers and onboard personnel. Availability for frequent national and international travel.
