As Maintenance Engineering Lead you will respond to the Head Of Department and be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line within EPC Maintenance and Inspection Engineering Department.
Job includes plant reliability analysis, equipment criticality assessment and maintenance plan development. Scope of the work involves activities ranging from acknowledging process‑related conditions and evaluating the equipment detail design. Maintenance Engineering Lead (MEL) is to make sure that the project detailed design is safe and sound from an operation and maintenance point of view, complies with the international standards and meets the requirements arising from contract and technical specification therein referred to. In performing his job, the MES is liaising with client representatives, partners, suppliers, and project team. MEL regularly reports to the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance Manager the status of the Maintenance Engineering assessment, highlighting areas of concern.
Responsibilities
- Support the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance Manager in reviewing the project technical documentation in respect to the contractual requirements.
- Develop the maintenance engineering execution plan.
- Gather maintenance related design data from technical disciplines and vendors to build a comprehensive plant asset register which includes all maintainable equipment.
- Prepare the Maintainable Equipment List (MEL) hierarchically organized by functional location which refers to physical asset.
- Review operability and maintainability.
- Perform mechanical handling assessment.
- Conduct equipment criticality analysis (ECA) to rank items listed in MEL in view of safety, environment, production requirements.
- Create maintenance strategies, procedures, and tasks according to either the original equipment manufacturer data or the results of the performed Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.
- Prepare operational performance standards.
- Prepare CMMS loading templates.
- Prepare required documentation to attend meetings with Company, project team or vendors.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification.
- Experience: More than 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Languages: English level B2/C1.
- Technical/IT Skills: Failure Mode and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) methodology (advanced knowledge) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology (RCM certification is a plus).
- Fully aware of Oil & Gas plant related design documentation and drawings, including 3D models, plot plans, P&IDs, PFDs, line lists, GA drawings, mechanical data sheets, vendor manuals, procedures, etc.
- Expert in MS Office package. Ability to work with 3D software application, e.g., Navisworks Freedom and PDF editor, e.g., Power PDF Advanced. Basic knowledge of Navisworks 3D Model software considered a plus.
Mobility & Travel
- Availability to travel for short periods (1 week to 1 month).
- Availability to be relocated abroad in both International Saipem Engineering Centers and/or in Construction Site.
- Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad for short periods to engineering centers, suppliers, or construction sites.
