Overview
The American Overseas School of Rome is seeking a passionate and skilled High School English Teacher to deliver engaging instruction in literature, writing, and critical thinking. The ideal educator will support students’ academic growth while promoting a love for language and literature in an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach High School English courses, including literature, composition, and language arts.
- Plan and deliver learner-centered lessons aligning with AOSR curriculum standards.
- Develop students’ analytical, reading, and writing skills through diverse teaching methods.
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Support students preparing for advanced studies, projects, and assessments.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects cultural diversity.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and departmental meetings.
