Cement Industry | Calusco, Italy | Full-time Site Assignment
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Erection & Commissioning Supervisor for an industrial project at a cement plant in Calusco, Italy, on behalf of our client.
The project involves the installation and commissioning of a new Alternative Fuels (AF) storage, extraction, dosing and conveying system.
The successful candidate will represent the client on-site and ensure that all mechanical installation and commissioning activities are carried out safely, efficiently and according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical erection, installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate mechanical contractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Monitor installation quality, progress and compliance with project specifications.
- Supervise installation of conveyors, storage systems, feeders, piping and steel structures.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and Italian regulations.
- Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.
- Report progress, technical issues and potential delays to project management.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience from the cement industry is essential.
- Fluent Italian – must be able to speak, understand and communicate effectively in Italian.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial experience, including at least 5 years in mechanical erection supervision.
- Experience with mechanical installation and commissioning in cement plants.
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyors, bulk material handling systems, rotating equipment and mechanical installations.
- Experience supervising contractors on large industrial construction sites.
- Strong understanding of site safety and quality requirements.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
