Overview

In this role you will ensure welding process quality in line with codes, specs, and client obligations while supporting on-site delivery in Monfalcone. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify procedures, tests, and welding solutions, including robotics and prototype validation. The position combines hands-on welding oversight with technical documentation and compliance across ASME, EN, and RCC-M frameworks. You will contribute to a culture of nuclear safety and high-quality fabrication within a leading nuclear energy company.

Responsabilità
  • Coordinate welding qualification and test activities for procedures, mock-ups, and fabrication
  • Apply and reference applicable codes and welding processes in practice
  • Manage multiple activities and projects concurrently
  • Develop prototypes to validate welding solution designs
  • Apply process engineering principles to welding procedures
  • Implement robotics in welding activities
  • Author welding procedures and qualification records (WPS, PQR) and supervise lab tests for qualifications
  • Prepare welding-related documentation (WB, WPS, PQR) per Codes and customer standards
  • Select filler materials based on codes, standards, and contract requirements
  • Apply knowledge of welding materials to designs and manufacturing solutions across processes and materials
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree essential (Materials or Mechanical preferred)
  • Welding technologist/engineer certification is advantageous but not mandatory
  • 0–2 years (Engineer I) or 3–4 years (Engineer II) experience
  • Strong understanding of ASME, EN, RCC-M Codes; knowledge of ASTM and EN standards governing tests, welding processes, and filler materials
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1)
