Overview

In this role you will define and shape the next generation of optical networking solutions for Nokia. You will lead architecture and design of DWDM/OTN systems, translating market needs into concrete requirements. You’ll work with systems, software, hardware, verification, and documentation teams to drive concepts to production-ready solutions for carrier-grade networks. The position blends strategic thinking with hands-on architecture work, offering meaningful impact on scalable, high-performance networks. You’ll operate in a cross-functional, global environment that values collaboration and innovation.

Responsabilità
  • Lead the architecture and design of advanced DWDM communication systems
  • Translate customer and market needs into system, functional, and UI requirements
  • Collaborate with Systems Architects, Systems Engineers, Software Development, Test Engineering, and Technical Documentation teams
  • Drive solutions from concept through implementation
  • Develop and maintain high-quality architectural documentation and requirements specifications
  • Collaborate with product line management to translate requirements into architecture and technical specs
  • Guide cross-functional teams in evaluating new feature requests and assessing feasibility
  • Review and provide guidance for customer-facing documentation to ensure alignment with product architecture and workflows
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Strong expertise in optical networking technologies and standards (DWDM, OTN, equipment management, network provisioning, infrastructure, power, and facility management)
  • Experience defining and managing system requirements for Fault, Configuration, Performance, and Equipment Management in carrier-grade, multi-layer products
  • Experience translating business, customer, and operational requirements into clear architectures andSpecifications
  • Familiarity with CLI, YANG data models, model-driven management frameworks
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, AI-SDLC processes, and Agile environments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work across cross-functional, global teams
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant tech fields
  • Minimum 10 years in telecommunications/networking; at least 5 years in Optical Transport Systems Architecture
