In this role you drive the global Real World Evidence (RWE) strategy for the Endo-Met portfolio, aligning evidence plans with research and commercial goals. You lead cross-functional execution, shaping partnerships and data sourcing to inform regulatory, payer, and clinical decisions. You’ll advance innovative methodologies and publish impactful insights while building RWE capabilities across regions. - Lead the global RWE strategy for the Endo-Met GRD portfolio and ensure integration into regulatory, payer, and clinical decision-making
- Increase integration of real-world data sources to strengthen evidence-based decision making across development, regulatory, and commercialization phases
- Develop and maintain the integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP) in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Build and scale RWE capabilities, processes, and infrastructure to support global and local evidence generation
- Identify, evaluate, and execute external RWD partnerships and data acquisition strategies, including due diligence and governance
- Provide senior scientific leadership in observational research, epidemiology, and RWE methodologies
- Champion adoption of AI/ML and advanced analytics in RWE generation
- Oversee governance of studies, registries, and non-interventional programs ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Represent Chiesi externally in scientific forums and drive publication strategy for RWE insights
- Lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, managing budgets, timelines, and resources with mentorship of junior staff
- Advanced degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, PharmD, MSc) in epidemiology, public health, health economics, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in RWE, HEOR, epidemiology, or observational research in pharma/biotech or related setting
- Proven success in leading RWE strategy at asset or portfolio level
- Strong experience with real-world data sources (claims, EHR, registries, etc.)
- Track record of building partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting regulatory and/or market access use of RWE
- Deep expertise in epidemiology and RWE methodologies
- Ability to translate evidence into business and clinical impact
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional leadership
- Strong executive communication skills
- Experience with advanced analytics, AI/ML, and innovative RWE approaches
- Ability to shape data strategy and infrastructure decisions
- Strong governance and oversight of multi-country studies and programs
