In this Senior Underwriter role, you will drive profitable Casualty growth by underwriting complex risks and shaping risk solutions. You’ll work closely with brokers to communicate risk appetite, negotiate terms, and expand the broker network. You’ll mentor junior underwriters and collaborate with distribution and other lines to target quality accounts. This office-centric role emphasizes hands-on leadership and customer service within a supportive, inclusive culture.

- Underwrite new and renewal Casualty business and assess complex risks
- Communicate risk appetite to brokers and tailor value propositions
- Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and deal structure with brokers and clients
- Expand broker network through events and relationship-building
- Collaborate with Distribution and other lines to target desirable accounts and cross-sell
- Provide guidance, mentoring and training to less-experienced underwriters
- Model high standards of customer service for brokers and clients
- Proven underwriting experience with strong Casualty knowledge
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Strong communication, networking and relationship-building skills
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Customer- and sales-oriented mindset: motivated, tenacious, proactive, and accountable
- Interest in mentoring and training for previously non-mentoring duties
