Vita Health is building the Health Operating System: an AI-powered platform that turns fragmented health data into a single, personalized plan people actually follow. We pair our AI with a layer of human experts (nutritionists, trainers, and coaches) to help people improve how they eat, move, sleep, and recover, with measurable outcomes rather than vanity engagement.

We deliver this exclusively through organizations — employers, insurance groups, and pharmacy chains — never direct to consumers. Blue-chip companies already run Vita Health for their employees. We are a venture-backed team of around 30 people, scaling fast and deliberately.
The Role
As Sales Team Lead, you are a player-coach. You carry your own quota and you lead a small team of full-cycle sellers, reporting to the Head of Sales/Revenue.
This is deliberately not a \"manage the pipeline\" job. At Vita Health every quota-carrying seller is full-cycle from day one — self-sourcing, discovery, business case, close, first renewal — and no segment is reserved by seniority.
So you lead by outselling and out-coaching, not by allocating. If your ambition is to stop carrying a number, this role is the wrong one and we would rather tell you now.
What you'll own
- Your own number. A reduced but real personal quota across both engines. You close, and you close the deals that teach the team something.
- A team of 2–5 full-cycle sellers. Their attainment is your attainment. You own their ramp curve, and when someone is off it, you say so inside the quarter — not at quarter end.
- The pitch standard. One pitch, used by everyone, demonstrated by you. Not a slide deck in a folder — the actual conversation, run live in front of the team and adopted by them.
- Weekly pipeline inspection that changes behaviour. Not a status readout. Every deviation closes with cause, correction, owner and date.
- Team forecast accurate to ±15%. Finance plans hiring and cash against your number. Being right matters as much as being high.
- Deal desk for your pod. Procurement, GDPR, works councils, clinical governance: you resolve these with the relevant internal owners.
- Coaching measured by their outcomes. Your reps' win rate is the evidence, not the hours you spent with them.
- Cross-functional pipeline work with Marketing inside our commercial squad: objection data, loss reasons, and what to change upstream.
What success looks like in your first 6 to 12 months
- Your team hits quota, and so do you — with commitment floors intact, not bought with discounts.
- Every new hire on your team reaches full quota on the agreed ramp, or the mismatch was addressed early and cleanly.
- One pitch is in use across the team and win rates moved because of it.
- Your forecast has held within band for three consecutive quarters.
- Commercial objections — procurement, legal — get resolved at your level.
- The people on your team are visibly better sellers than the day you arrived.
Who you are
- 5+ years in B2B sales with a carried quota, including full-cycle enterprise deals you sourced and closed yourself. Not pipeline-generation-only experience.
- 1–2 years leading a small commercial team while still selling. You have done the player-coach job and you know why it is harder than either half.
- You sell into complexity. Multi-stakeholder buying groups, procurement, long approval chains, and buyers who need a business case in their own numbers.
- You are comfortable with a regulated sale. Health data, GDPR, reimbursement mechanics: you learn the rules and turn them into an advantage rather than routing every question to someone else.
- You coach by doing. You run the call, then you let them run it, then you tell them the truth about it.
- You know the Italian B2B market, ideally HR, welfare and benefits buyers. Fluent Italian and business-level English.
- You run a modern sales stack, you don't fight it. Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot and with the tools around it is mandatory: outbound sequencing (Crono), call recording and review (Grain), telephony (Aircall), and equivalents. CRM hygiene is not admin work here — the forecast Finance plans against is built from what you and your team put in it, so pipeline that is not in the system does not exist.
- Milan-based or willing to be there regularly. Our sales team meets in person on a fixed cadence; this is a deliberate choic
