Overview

As a Quality Engineer in Micron’s Global Quality group for NVM Return Material Authorization, you will contribute to failure analysis and root-cause investigations on customer-returned products. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to identify failure mechanisms, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement using data and AI-assisted methods. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to semiconductor quality, reliability, and problem solving with meaningful impact on product quality. You will help shape how Micron prevents failures and enhances reliability at scale.

Responsabilità
  • Support failure analysis on returned products to identify failure mechanisms
  • Assist root cause analysis using structured methods (e.g., 8D)
  • Examine test data, logs, and manufacturing information for patterns
  • Contribute to FA and 8D technical reports for internal and customer use leveraging AI
  • Collaborate with Build, Process, Manufacturing, Reliability teams for issue resolution
  • Engage in quality monitoring and data analysis to detect deviations using AI
  • Assist in defining and tracking CAPA
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Physical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of electronics and semiconductor devices
  • Familiarity with data analysis (Excel, basic statistics)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

  • Willingness to learn
  • Experience with failure investigation, reliability, or quality engineering (internship or academic)
  • Knowledge of memory technologies (NAND, SSD, eMMC, UFS)
  • Familiarity with Linux environment or scripting (Python) and AI tools
