Overview

In this role you drive electrical and EMC design and testing for space systems. You will work within a cross-functional team to translate mission requirements into robust, validated electrical architectures and EMC/RFC solutions. You analyze interfaces, perform simulations, and lead IVVQ activities across product life cycles. The position offers hands-on impact on power and RF systems for Earth Observation, Navigation, or Telecom platforms, within a dynamic space program. This is a permanent role based in Rome with potential short-term relocations and occasional shifts to support integration and testing.

Responsabilità
  • Assess and translate mission System and ORD/SRD requirements
  • Interface with System E2E, Avionics, Payloads and other peers
  • Define and validate Electrical and EMC/RFC architectures
  • Assess electrical I/F resources, sizing and budgets
  • Model RFC issues and energy balance; implement power architecture in simulation
  • Lead System and S/S Electrical & EMC IVVQ; support AIV, OPS, SVTs, LEOP and commissioning
  • Assess motor drives interfaces and performances
  • Modalities for mitigating impinging RF from antennas and equipment using radar absorbers and CST simulations
  • Define EMC/RFC architecture, sizing, budgets, and control plans; perform testing at equipment level
  • Conduct ESD, magneto-static, and radiated analyses; RF compatibility with Launch Vehicles
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Master Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering with RF and EMC focus
  • English proficiency C1+
  • At least 2 years in a similar role with EO/Navigation/Telecom spacecraft design and test experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of system requirements analysis, power design, interfaces, budgets and verification
  • Experience with RF, EMC standards and spacecraft testing processes
