Overview

In this role you will build high-performance embedded firmware for Micron’s Data Center SSD controllers and memory systems. You will collaborate with hardware, validation, and system teams to evaluate, develop, test, and debug firmware for next-generation memory controllers and SSDs. You will drive root-cause analysis, issue triage, and performance optimization to ensure reliability in enterprise and cloud environments. This position offers the opportunity to shape firmware across cross-functional projects and contribute to scalable storage solutions. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting that values quality and continuous improvement.

Responsabilità

Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware for Data Center SSD controllers and memory systems
Analyze firmware behavior, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product issues
Contribute to firmware validation, integration, and performance optimization activities
Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and continuous improvement of development processes

Requisiti fondamentali

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
Experience or academic background in embedded firmware development
Programming experience in Python and familiarity with at least one system-level language (e.g., C/C++)
Knowledge of scripting languages, development tools, and debugging environments
Ability to work in a multi-functional team and manage multiple priorities
