Offer Description

The project aims to develop and validate multimodal, non-invasive therapeutic strategies for the treatment of glioblastoma, through the integration of Focused Ultrasound (FUS) and innovative therapeutic agents. In particular, the ability of FUS to promote the localized release and intratumoral accumulation of the therapeutic agents will be evaluated. To this end, treatment planning systems for FUS and microbubble cavitation monitoring systems will be developed and validated, so as to ensure safe and effective control of the treatment. The therapeutic agents will be preliminarily tested in cellular models of glioblastoma prior to in vivo application, assessing their biological response to treatment and their selective cytotoxicity toward tumor cells
