Overview

As Global Purchasing & Sourcing Lead, you drive strategic procurement initiatives for Motion Technologies and possibly cross-business programs. You will shape global sourcing strategies, scout suppliers, and lead negotiations to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets. You collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to launch cost-improvement projects and ensure policy compliance. The role offers international exposure, travel, and opportunities to evolve with expanding scope and impact.

Responsabilità
  • Deliver concrete sourcing and purchasing projects within Motion Technologies and cross-business initiatives
  • Support and execute global sourcing strategies across direct and indirect categories
  • Conduct supplier scouting, market analysis, supplier evaluation and qualifications
  • Run or support RFQs, supplier comparisons, negotiations, and contract finalization
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities via competitive bidding, localization, dual sourcing, value analysis, and supplier productivity initiatives
  • Monitor supplier performance, purchasing metrics, and market trends; provide data-based recommendations
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain and Program Management on sourcing and cost-improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ITT purchasing policies, ethical standards, and contractual requirements
  • Contribute to standardization and sharing of purchasing best practices across Motion Technologies
  • Provide clear project updates to Purchasing leadership and stakeholders as needed
  • Travel to plants, suppliers, and project locations to achieve outcomes
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Approximately 4-5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, category management or supply chain in automotive, industrial manufacturing or similarly complex environments
  • Solid experience with RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and supplier performance tracking
  • Strong analytical skills with purchasing metrics, cost breakdowns, and market data
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of Italian strongly recommended
  • Experience in direct materials, indirect purchasing, logistics, raw materials, or technical commodities
  • Familiarity with ERP and procurement tools; advanced Excel and data reporting tools (Power BI) a plus
  • Training or certification in negotiation, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or project management an advantage
