Offer Description

The researcher will be expected to carry out activities abot the development of a research project devoted to the study of Roman law and the Roman-law foundations of the European legal tradition.
The research may focus,in particular,on the historical,theoretical,and methodological aspects of the Roman legal experience,including,where appropriate,a diachronic and interdisciplinary comparative perspective,highlighting its role as a fundamental basis for a large part of contemporary European legal systems.
The investigation will be conducted using the exegetical-case-based and historical-systematic methods characteristic of legal scholarship,with the aim of deepening the understanding of the body of legal knowledge and principles derived from the testimonies of the Corpus Iuris Civilis of Justinian and,more generally,from the legal sources of Roman law [...]
