GRDQ Jelly Candy Specialist

Main Purpose of the roleFor our Group R&D Jelly & Extruded Candy team, we are looking for a new colleague as Jelly Candy Specialist

The new colleague will be responsible to drive NPD projects, technology platforms and technological support under the supervision of Manager with the aim to contribute to higher quality level and/or efficiency of the existing production processes and assist in start-up of new production processes to increase the global Perfetti Van Melle product portfolio.

What you will doParticipate in new product and process development, in compliance with Group & Local strategies during the whole Stage & Gate process from lab till post launchContributing to design new manufacturing line or upgrade/improve the existing in close cooperation with Process Technologist, Group Engineering and PEC (Process ExcellenceCenter), starting with process flow chart draftingUnderstand characteristics and influence/interaction of the ingredients used in the specific candies to ensure stable product quality and efficiency of production processSupervise lab and Pilot trialsBe actively present during Pre-NPD meetings with group marketing by upfront sharing of samples and all relevant product/process informationContribute in performing Competitor research following trends, CIT, Patents to define new projects with the aim to keep PvM product portfolio future readyInitiate ideas to reduce waste, increase quality and efficiency and monitor execution of existing processesSupport manufacturing locations in new industrial line startup or production transfersContribute to define technological solutions aimed to sustain the breakthrough innovation pipeline in accordance with company long term strategyOur Perfect CandidateDegree in Food Technology, Chemical Technology or other scientific educationAt least 4 years of experience in FMCG (products and processes) as similar technologist functionKnow-how of raw materials and its functionsPreferable Lean manufacturing (green belt)Mentoring the junior technologistGood project management skills (Plan & Time)Good communications skillsAbility to work on multiple projects, prioritize, monitor the progress by using PvM softwareCollaborate in cross functional projects with a variety of stakeholdersAbility to think out of the box to solve process challenges (creativity)Ability to gather and analyse process and quality data with statistical softwareTravelling abroad for support / tests / start up on request (40% of work time is request)The position offers a gross annual salary starting from 45,000.
