The Job:

As the Regional Category Specialist you’ll be part of our Logistics Procurement team. You’ll get to:

  • Serve as the go-to person for the business on a daily basis by identifying external storage capacity, 3PL integrated warehousing solutions, and cross-dock set-ups.
  • Launch 3PL warehousing tenders (RFQs), evaluate commercial offers, and present recommendations and results to the business.
  • Lead warehousing negotiations and manage 3PL contracting in close coordination with operations, legal, controllership/finance, compliance, and IT teams to translate business requirements and KPIs into Service Level Agreements and Scopes of Work.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), standardized Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and reporting frameworks for 3PL warehouse activities.
  • Manage strategic relationships with existing logistics partners across the EMEA ANZ region and support internal stakeholders on day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Update KPI dashboards and facilitate regular performance and business reviews with 3PL partners to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify warehousing optimization opportunities by engaging with local Stanley Black & Decker entities through face-to-face meetings and conference calls to understand operational needs.
  • Lead productivity and working capital improvement projects that support broader supply chain efficiency goals.
  • Collaborate closely with transportation and warehousing procurement teammates on integrated supply chain initiatives and end-to-end productivity opportunities.
  • Share ideas and best practices with 3PL category managers and transportation teams to strengthen negotiations, improve lead times, and enhance service quality.

  • A degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience or knowledge in procurement or logistics, including exposure to 3PL and contract logistics environment.
  • Strong analytical, planning, project management, and organizational skills, with close attention to detail and evidence of sound decision-making and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, with knowledge of legal and insurance aspects considered an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills in English, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in demanding environments; additional language skills, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP knowledge are a plus.
