In this role you will strengthen the technical capability, quality and consistency of Industrial Services delivery in Italy, while providing technical support to European operations. You will act as the primary technical focal point for the Italian operation, guiding project execution, complex proposals, inspector competence and technical methodologies. You will address technical risks, ensure adherence to DNV requirements and standards, and share expertise across Europe. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop capabilities, adopt new inspection technologies and improve customer value.
Responsabilità- Act as the primary technical focal point for Industrial Services activities in Italy, guiding operations managers, project managers and inspection personnel
- Provide technical leadership on complex assignments and establish appropriate execution methodologies
- Review scope, specifications, ITPs and client requirements to ensure technical understanding and executable deliverables
- Support bid/no-bid and technical risk assessments; collaborate with Proposal Management, Operations, SMEs to ensure sound proposals
- Support project kick-offs, mobilisation, execution and technical issue resolution; capture lessons learned
- Assess inspectors and specialist resources; define competency requirements and support recruitment and training
- Identify opportunities to strengthen Italy's technical offering across sectors (Oil & Gas, Renewables, T&D, Infrastructure)
- Provide technical assistance to other European countries for specialist projects and tenders; promote cross-country reuse of methodologies
- Engage with customers and prospects in technical meetings; translate requirements into capability developments and value propositions
- Collaborate with Global PMO, SMEs and other DNVs to standardise procedures and share knowledge
- Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 and other applicable standards
- Promote quality, governance and documentation; support audits and root-cause analysis
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Significant experience in inspection, QA/QC, vendor surveillance, asset integrity or related TIC services
- Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and inspection practices
- Experience with complex industrial projects across Oil & Gas, Energy, Renewables, Infrastructure or related sectors
- Understanding of inspector competency and qualification requirements
- Experience in technical proposal development and tender evaluation
- Ability to translate customer requirements into practical, commercially viable execution solutions
- Experience working across countries and multicultural teams (desirable)
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17020 (advantage)
- Technically credible with sound judgment
