Overview

As a Software Engineer on Hudl's data API team, you design and ship scalable APIs and data services to power Hudl’s football data platform. You’ll own backend-heavy work end to end and treat the API as a product. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, rapid iteration, and a strong AI-first mindset to improve data tools used across the company. You’ll learn from senior engineers while shaping shared capabilities used by multiple products and sports.

Responsabilità
  • Design and ship APIs, GraphQL schemas, and backend services that form the data API product
  • Collaborate with engineers, QA, product managers, and designers to turn Hudl's data into reliable tools
  • Own end-to-end backend features from data model to production, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance
  • Leverage AI tooling as a core part of the build process and promote its practical use within the team
  • Propose and evaluate solutions to ambiguous data-domain problems through design discussions and code reviews
Requisiti fondamentali
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in backend-heavy or data-heavy environments
  • Experience building software that is consumed by other teams or products, including APIs, contracts, GraphQL schemas, or data pipelines
  • Product-minded with experience shipping customer-facing products and managing release trade-offs between quality and speed
  • AI-positive and forward-thinking with day-to-day use of AI tools in engineering
  • Cloud experience and familiarity with TDD/CI-CD practices
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to balance quality with customer value
  • Collaborative, team-first mindset with willingness to contribute high-quality feedback in code reviews
