We are seeking a talented and passionate Statistics and Monitoring Officer - Nutrition to contribute to UNICEF’s mission of ending child malnutrition through high-quality data, innovative analytics, and evidence-based advocacy. In this role, you will work with leading international experts, analyze large-scale household survey data, contribute to global nutrition databases and estimates, and support cutting-edge initiatives in data automation, visualization, and statistical systems strengthening. The Statistics and Monitoring Officer (Nutrition) will support UNICEF’s global nutrition monitoring and evidence generation efforts by managing and analyzing nutrition data, maintaining global databases, and producing high-quality statistics and estimates for global reporting and advocacy. The role will strengthen countries’ capacity to monitor nutrition through technical support and training, contribute to the dissemination of data and evidence through publications and digital platforms, and collaborate with UNICEF teams and global partners on nutrition initiatives. The incumbent will also help improve data systems and workflows through innovation, automation, and standardization to enhance the quality, accessibility, and use of nutrition data worldwide.

Minimum Requirements
- Education: Advanced university degree in public health, nutrition, economics, public policy, epidemiology, statistics, computer sciences or in one of the social sciences with strong quantitative training and experience.
- Work Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience at national and/or international levels in nutrition, statistics, economics, public policy or other relevant fields. This should include experience with household survey data (DHS, MICS, LSMS). Demonstrated experience conducting complex statistical analysis is required.
- Skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), statistical programming and statistical analysis software (Stata, R, SPSS). Strong knowledge of Statistical Analysis, Solid understanding of Database Management, Data Quality Assurance.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required.
Desirables
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
- Experience working with nutrition data and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Experience with GitHub, database pipelines, reproducible workflows, automation tools, responsible use of Al-assisted coding or workflow tools.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
