Senior Relays Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Sales in quotations, tenders, and customer proposals for relay products
• Analyze customer requirements and identify suitable technical solutions
• Act as the technical focal point for customers during pre-sales activities
• Support technical meetings, presentations, and clarification requests
• Verify compliance with customer requirements and applicable standards
• Define product configurations, options, and technical deviations
• Collaborate with internal functions to assess feasibility, risks, and lead times
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Support order handover and resolution of technical issues
• Contribute to product improvement, standardization, and lifecycle activities
• Ensure compliance with company processes and quality standards
• Strong knowledge of electromechanical and electronic relay technologies and applications
• Ability to analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and tender documentation
• Experience in requirements management, product configuration, and technical documentation
• Ability to translate customer needs into technically feasible and compliant solutions
• Good understanding of electrical engineering, control systems, signaling, and industrial applications
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, configuration control, and industry standards
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
• Experience supporting technical proposals, bids, and clarification activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify technical risks and solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across functions

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Engineering, Application Engineering, Technical Sales Support, Proposal Engineering, or similar roles
• Solid experience with electromechanical and/or electronic relay products
• Experience in customer-facing technical activities, quotations, and tenders
• Knowledge of railway, transportation, industrial automation, energy, or similar industries is considered a plus
• Experience with technical documentation, requirements management, and product lifecycle activities
• Professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP, CRM, PLM, and similar engineering tools are considered an advantage
• Availability for occasional international travel

In line with our commitment to pay transparency, the expected salary range for this role is €45.000–50.000€ gross annual salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
