The Engineering Standard Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing and solidifying the presence of the Standard Management office at the Yeovil site. Key responsibilities include:
- Addressing queries related to ERP (SAP Enterprise Resource Planning) Material Master Basic Data issues and amendments associated with "Engineering Standard Parts"
- Collaborating closely with the Department Central Office team in Italy and the IT (Information Technology) department
- Acting as the local focal point for "Engineering Standards," offering investigation, assistance, clarification, and guidance to colleagues on company-applicable procedures
- Providing support to LH departments in creating, issuing, and amending "Standard documents," while coordinating activities between external stakeholders and the Standards Management team in Italy involved in drafting and issuing these documents
- Facilitating LH departments in managing "Engineering Standard" replacements effectively
This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of engineering standards and procedures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to standards, streamlining processes, and promoting operational efficiency within the organisation.
Requirements

- Technical background such as college/apprenticeship and/or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and capability to understand Drawings and Technical documentation
- Good organisational skills & conscientious
- Self-motivated
- People leader and team worker
The following attributes are desirable:
- Experience with Aeronautic work environment
- Engineering background
- Experience of ERP (SAP preferred). Experience of technical design tools such as VPM (Virtual Product Modelling)
