Introduction

We are seeking individuals who have recently graduated in a scientific field (biotechnology, medicine, chemistry, or biology) and are eager to learn how to translate cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs into impactful ventures as part of a leading Italian Venture Capital firm.

Teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential qualities we seek in our new colleagues. As a member of the investment team, you will be involved in sourcing deals, executing them, and providing support in portfolio management.

Activities

Your activities will include:

Supporting the life science team in investment research, analysis, and due diligence on new and existing biotech investments. Assisting the investment team in writing investment memorandums and presenting findings to the investment team and committee. Contributing to deep scientific due diligence, including interpreting scientific publications and medical conference presentations. Collaborating closely with investment partners, principals, scientific advisors, and key opinion leaders to develop insights. Supporting the team with administrative work, investment reporting, financial modeling, and deal execution.

Required qualifications, skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, or medicine (a PhD, also ongoing, in one of the above areas will be considered as a plus). Knowledge of the drug development process. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as within a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for learning. Self-starter comfortable working with ambiguity. Business knowledge of Italian and English (minimum B2)
