We are looking for aSenior Sustainability Consultantto join our Sustainable Developmentteam withinArupMilan Office.
You will join a team that has established a reputation for supporting both Italy and international projects providing advisory and consulting services to clients to deliver on their sustainability objectives and our own commitments to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the European sustainable agenda.
Your role:
Responsible for the delivery of sustainability consulting services, including bespoke strategies as well as assessment methodologies including LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and projects associated with developing client’s aspirations towards Zero Carbon, with support from the team leadership.Development of sustainability concepts and strategies to design innovative building, masterplan, and infrastructure projects.Development of sustainable solutions in collaboration with other departments (e.g. Architecture, Energy, Building Envelope, MEP, etc.)Support the leadership of the team and group in developing business relationships with existing and new clients, prepare proposals and win new jobs.Communicate sustainability requirements to internal and external team members, including workshop facilitation.Produce reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.You will have knowledge, or first-hand experience, in most or all the following areas: sustainable development agendas and future trends across the broad spectrum of environmental, social and governance issues, sustainability reporting and reporting standards, sustainability strategy and appraisal,and environmental legislation within the design and construction context.Required:
Master’s degree in engineering or architectureor other relevant fields of studyLEED AP with experience of LEED certifications both at the building and masterplan scale (LEED ND/for Communities)Other green building accreditations (WELL, Fitwel, BREEAM, etc.) is a plus+10 years of experience, able to work on your own initiative and manage small to medium team of people.Required to have knowledge, or first-hand experience, in most or all of the following areas:
Ability to develop sustainability strategy and frameworks for large scale and complex projectsExperience on sustainability certification assessment and implementation Knowledge and experience in the application of EU taxonomy and DNSH principlesExperience in the application of CAM to public projects Understanding of low carbon and resilience strategies to building and masterplan projectsOrganizational skillsPresentation skills (oral and written)Fluent in both English and Italian languageRewards and Benefits
